SERO 2.0 would phase out POW, eliminate outdated production capacity, and adopt pure Staking

Due to the impact of policies in Mainland China, some mining pools are in the period of suspension or adjustment, which leads to the dramatic shaking of SERO network computing power in recent period. First of all, we reiterate that SERO currently adopts POW+POS consensus algorithm, which is highly resistant to 51% attacks. The Jitter of POW computing power only affects users’ transfer experience and does not cause any security problems on the network.
At the same time, the Foundation will immediately push forward the launch of SERO 2.0’s BetaNet network after completing the work of moving personnel, services and node-related affairs out of mainland China in October, and has reached an agreement with most of the equity pool operators. A formal Staking version of SERO 2.0 would phase out POW, eliminate outdated production capacity, and adopt pure Staking, along with the corresponding token generation mechanism, completely eliminates the impact of large fluctuations in PoW hash rate on block synchronization and transaction speed.
